Chapter 6: Mindfulness

Mindful: Focusing one's awareness on the present moment.

Conscious of oneself and actions, can lead to growth or putting up a wall up. But, what happens when the wall you put up is hindering yourself from greatness? That's the question I ask myself, and the main focus of my chapter for June. As, I've stated before each month is a chapter in our lives, and each month, I go into the next chapter with a goal. Whether big or small, it's a goal for no one but myself. So, the focus for this month is on being mindful. Furthermore, if you've been following along my monthly posts for 2019, I hope you've been setting goals for yourself and watching them unfold as each chapter begins, and closes in your life. 

Last month I focused on setting time aside for myself. Which, in return, helped me become stronger mentally. Being mindful for me is not only about seeing how my actions affect the ones around me, but it's also about setting time aside with a pen and paper, and journaling. When I write out how I'm feeling, and I see it on paper, it becomes real for me. Letting my walls down and allowing myself to grasp everything, and understand if I'm going to be mindful, I should start with me, pen and paper in hand. So, as I begin this month and onward, I will be journaling more and creating more positive energy around myself, and the ones around me.
