NYC Eats- SERRA by Birreria
This past weekend I stopped by for lunch at SERRA by Bierra, a charming fall-themed rooftop Italian restaurant in Manhattan. Dare I say, Instagram made me do it, the decor caught my eye, and I'm so happy I finally got to try it out. I arrived with my best friend and was seated immediately. We had a wonderful waiter who described some of her favorite cocktails and recommendations for food on the menu, and was given bread and oil to start off with. My drink of choice was the riflessione cocktail which was very sweet but with a refreshing kick, due to the mint. Not extremely strong so I definitely recommend it. Next for my entree, I ordered the pasta al forno which contained (Fusilli, Invincible Summer Farms Tomatoes, Sausage, Housemade Mozzarella). The pasta was super yummy with a light spice to it, however, I do wish the portion size was bigger for the price. Lastly, my side dish was the Patate, a savory fried potatoes dish. My friend indulged in the calamari fritti, which she enjoyed.
Overall my experience was a 3/5
The ambiance was nice as I loved the fall leaves hanging from the ceiling and great customer service. I expected more from the menu, the food was okay nothing extraordinary. And I would have liked better portion sizes for the price. But if you're going for a drink and nice cozy fall vibe I recommend.
